KAWAH IJEN – Di terik mentari, Kawah Ijen tampak cerah. Berupa danau kawah di puncak Gunung Ijen,  2.368 meter di atas permukaan laut, 45 km dari Kota Banyuwangi, Jawa Timur. Danau kawah ini terletak di tengah kaldera terluas di Pulau Jawa. Dengan keliling kaldera sekitar 20 km, danau  itu berada 300 meter di bawah dinding kaldera. Kawahnya sendiri berukuran 960 x 600 meter persegi, dengan kedalaman 200 meter. – [teks dan foto oleh i.n.persada]

IJEN CRATER – In the blazing sun, Ijen Crater looks bright. Form of the crater lake at the summit of Mount Ijen, 2368 meters above sea level, 45 km from the city of Banyuwangi, East Java, Indonesia. This crater lake is located in the middle of the largest caldera on the island of Java. Caldera with a circumference of about 20 km, the lake is 300 meters below the caldera wall. Crater itself measures 960 x 600 square meters, with a depth of 200 meters. – [text and photographs by i.n.persada]

Api unggun tengah malam menggeliat

tak jaga tak mimpi tentang langit

ubur-ubur mengambang benang
